Mad Men Party

We hosted a "Mad Men" Christmas Party with some of our dearest friends. For those that don't know, "Mad Men" is a television show that is based out of the 1960's. So to make it an authentic party, we had drinks from the show, music from the show and from the 60's, and food from the original Betty Crocker recipe book. Dressing up was a requirement too :) The hit of the night was the smokes! I ordered fake cigarettes online and everyone stayed in character and held them the whole night.

We were so glad to have our friends come and mingle. The night was filled with a lot of fun!

Decorating the tree

Our family always decorates the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year, we decided to get an artificial tree. As much as we love the tree farm experience, we don't love all the pine needles that collect on our floor for a month. (Especially with a baby that puts everything in her mouth)

MeeAe was so excited to get our tree and decorate it. Every year since she's been born, we listen to classic Christmas music and make sugar cookies together while decorating the tree. (She was in the bjorn at 4 months helping me roll out cookies) Elliana was enjoying the cookies and tree as well! I love our little family traditions. It was such a great family day.

Thanksgiving 2010

We had three different Thanksgiving celebrations. The Saturday before, we saw Papa. Then on Thanksgiving Day we went to Grandma and Grandpa's first, and then to Nana's house. Good food and good company!

Beautiful Fall Day

Mae and Gabe took advantage of the sunny weather last week and had a picnic lunch in the back yard. They are quite adventurous together... We love having him over!

Baby Play Date

We had a play date with Baby Casey and his mommy Allison. Casey is such a sweet boy and we are looking forward to seeing all of the babies grow up together.

Happy Halloween!

This year, all of the cousins got together to go trick-or-treating. Auntie Sarah and Uncle Arian's neighborhood was the place to be!! Mae had so much candy! When we came back to the house, the kids got to pick out a treat from their bag. Out of the many pieces of junky candy, Mae sifted through it and ended up picking out an apple! Way to go Mae.

Since Elliana was recently diagnosed with peanut and tree nut allergies, we had to eliminate all foods containing those ingredients. So basically Mae could keep her Starburst candy.
